Abstract
Muhammad Kamal Nugroho, 2018, 50134881.N, “Delay of Container Destruction Due to Damage of Cell Guide on Ship MV. Meratus Balikpapan 1”, Nautical essay Nautical Study, Diploma IV Progam, Semarang Merchant Marine Politechnic, Counselor I: Capt. I Kadek Laju, S.H., M.M. M.Mar., dan Counselor II: Agus Hendro Waskito, M.Mar.E. Delay of containers unloading may occur on board. Delay can be caused by several factors from the ship (internal) and external (external) factors. The delay of discharging happened on MV. Meratus Balikpapan 1 caused by a container crane spreader concerning the cell guide of the hold and cannot be lifted. The method used by the researcher to overcome the problem is descriptive qualitative so that writer can expose the delay of dismantling of container in MV. Meratus Balikpapan 1. In determining the priority of the problem to be resolved, the researcher uses an approach tool that is USG (Urgency, Seriousness, Growth) method by giving score 1-5 on the cause of the happening of work accident in MV. Meratusbalikpapan 1. Researchers conduct interviews with Skipper and Chief Officer. Researchers also take pictures to support the validity of research data. The result of research indicates, factors causing the delay of discharging is less of skill by operator container crane in the operation of unloading containers and also less of discipline of the duty officer, foreman, and labor inspector during the process of unloading the container. Efforts are made to prevent delays in the discharge of containers by increasing the crane capability of operators, increasing discipline while carrying out the duty office during the process of discharging, and improving coordination between ships and foreman or laborers. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the delay of discharging the container on board the MV. Meratus Balikpapan 1 is a less of discipline supervision of duty officers, foreman, laborers and less of skill of operator container crane. Keywords: Delay, Demolition, Supervision, Ship Duty.
