Abstract

Nurmalita Diansari, 2018, 51145545.K, “Role of Container Freight Station (CFS) Warehouse toward the Continuity of Export Import Stream in Tanjung Emas Semarang Port”, Mini-thesis of Port and Shipping Department, Diploma IV Program, Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic, Advisor I: Irma Shinta Dewi, S.S., M.Pd , Advisor II: Vega Fonsula Andromeda, S.ST., S.Pd. Container Freight Station (CFS) warehouse service is a cargo transit place before included inside container; a cargo transit place after unstuffing from container before the owner took it. Container Freight Station (CFS) service has necessary impact toward the continuity of the input output stream of export import stream in Tanjung Emas Semarang Port. There are several obstacles inside of the Container Freight Station (CFS) warehouse. The purposes of this study are, 1) To know the obstacles at accumulating goods in Container Freight Station (CFS) warehouse 2) To now the steps taken from stakeholders of Container Freight Station (CFS) so that they will prevent the obstacles 3) To know the role of Container Freight Station (CFS) service toward the continuity of the export import stream in Tanjung Emas Semarang port. This study uses descriptive qualitative method in which researcher obtain data from observation, so that research fit with the method. In other way, the data obtained by interview, observation, literature study and documentation such as data gathered. The theoretical basis of this research contained in the framework that became guidance in the progress of the research. From the result of the study, the condition of Container Freight Station (CFS) has big impacts to the continuity of the stream of export import in Tanjung Emas Semarang port. As a conclusion, there are several obstacles that create postpone of the warehouse activity, both external and internal factors. Writer suggest that the stakeholder of Container Freight Station (CFS) should give more effort to solve this problem since he condition of the CFS warehouse has such a big role to increase the continuity of the export import stream.
