Abstract
Mohamad Irfansyah 2018. Optimization of export container arrangement in Semarang container terminal by using Automated Rubber Tyred Gantry (ARTG) tool. Minithesis Port and Shipping Department, Diploma IV, Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic. Supervisor: (1) Ir. Fitri Kensiwi, M.Pd and (2) Capt. Dwi Antoro, MM, M.Mar. What are the disturbing factors when using Automated Rubber Tyred Gantry (ARTG) in the process of loading and unloading in Semarang Petrified Terminal, Why Automated Rubber Tyred Gantry (ARTG) is very useful in the arrangement of costs in Semarang container Terminal, How to increase the cost of Semarang Container Terminal. The goal is to find out what problems are often encountered in Semarang container Terminal. Related to this matter, in writing this thesis the reference uses qualitative descriptive method, as well as data collected in the form of words, images and not the numbers. The research report will contain data citations to illustrate the presentation of reports, the data may come from interviews, field notes, photographs, personal documents, notes or memos, and other official documents. From the results of the research can be known about the problems that arise is the age of Automated Rubber Tyred Gantry (ARTG) is quite old, system problems, and when the arrangement of export containers that are not based on the block, bay, tier and know the impact of the delayed export container efforts to be done by PT. Samarang Container Terminal in the face of such problems. Key words : Handling of Container, Use (Automated Rubber Tyred Gantry) ARTG.
