Abstract

ABSTRACT Bagas Aldiomaru. 2018, NIT: 50134741.N, “Pengaruh Kurangnya Perawatan Pipa Muat di MT. Dewayani”, essay Study Programs Nautical, Diploma Program IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Adviser I: Capt. Ali Imran Ritonga, MM, M.Mar, Adviser II: Drs. Darjono, M.Mar.E. In loading and unloading operations at the port, the smoothness of operation is determined by many aspects. One of them is the condition of loading and unloading equipment, especially the loading pipe. If in the maintenance of the loading pipe treated right and properly then loading and unloading activities will be successful. In other hands, if the loading pipe was less maintained, then in loading and unloading operations will also cause risks that will ultimately hamper the process of loading and unloading. Given the importance of pipe conditions in support of loading and unloading operations, it is necessary to maintain good and proper care. In this case, the authors use observation methods, interviews, documentation, and literature studies to review what effect the lack of pipe care and the lack of maintenance of the load pipe, and what efforts are being made to address the lack of maintenance of the loading pipe in MT. Dewayani. By knowing the effect of the lack of care and the cause of the lack of pipe maintenance in MT. Dewayani, it is hoped that with the efforts made will make the cargo pipe to be well maintained and suitable for use in loading and unloading operations, so that the risk of loading and unloading process will decrease.
