Abstract

Andi Setiawan, NIT : 49124374.N, "Optimizing Prevention Occurrence Depreciation When Unloading at MY.Sele", thesis of Nautical Studies Program, Merchant Marine Polytechnic of Semarang, Adviser I : Capt. lladi Supriyono, M.M., M.Mar. Adviser II : R.A.J. Susilo Hadi Wibowo, S.IP., M.M. Depreciation charge is an event where the charge in the tank is reduced from the boat load to ship unloading. From the description, tlere is a problem that can be ccncluded is fakor-factors that can cause shrinkage of the charge and e{Torts to prevent the depreciation charge on the ship MT" Sele. Then the author uses descriptive qualitative approach. Descriptive-qualitative method is the study of people and experiences that are reproduced with the collection of documents and archives. The study compares the actual cases that occurred in the field with the theories of the study of literature relevant to the problem under study that found the caus€ of the problem. In a study conducted by the author, the depreciation charge due to a lack of understanding regarding the measurement procedures ABK correct charge. This incident occurred while the ship finished loading at the port of Balikpapan, the incident occurred when the helmsman perform retrieval of temperature with no regard innage charge is measured but the helmsman ia carrying out the mea$urement by providing a benchmark based on the depth of the tank load, so the level of accufircy of measurement of temperature payload right and can not be used as the basis for calculating the charge" The second incident at the time in the port of loading was found that the measuring instrument UTI in disrepair so that the implementation of temprature measurement using a hydrometer rvhich takes a long time in the process of measurement using a sounding and ullage manual. This causes the temperature making only done in three tanks of the total 10 tank with the intention of speeding up the process of measuring the charge" Then the temperature of the tank three are averaged for use in the calculation of the overall tank located on board the ship and used for the calculation of the charge by adjusting the amount contained in the bill of lading so that the process of loading can be immediately implemented. At the end wilt be a number of conclusions thai the factors that led to the depreciation charge is due to a lack of understanding of the measurement p,rocedure ABK oil and use the correct tools. So shrinkage cergo vessel that often ocsurs due to a lack of accuracy in decision ABK temperature and lack of knowledge in the use of the corrrct tools.
