Abstract
Marta Dwi Nugroho, 2018, NIT: 50134754. N, “Optimalization Port Watchkeeping In Progress of Loading container at MV. Meratus Java”, Nautical Department, Diploma IV Program, Merchant Marine Polytechnic Semarang, First Advicer: Capt. AgusSubardi, SP.1.,M.Mar. Second Advicer: Nur Rohmah, S.E., M.M. Watch in port is one of the prominent thing that Officer or Crew should do when vessel berthing in port so as we able to discharging the container in safe condition. The problem that we must be encountered on MV. Meratus Java is placement error for container which is affect ship’s stability and officer on watch find the container shoes in not feasible installed by labourers. This research has a purpose to find the implementation which affect not optimal the port watch in loading the container on MV. Meratus Java, and for find the implementation anchor watch in order to optimize loading for container on MV. Meratus Java. This research method uses a Descriptive Qualitative which is a method which describe about the facts that happens on board with a collected technic based on the result of research observation on board, interview with Master, Chief Officer, and Second Officer, and literature study. Data Analysis that researcher uses is with collecting the data and the data is presented for conclusion. The result of research show a implementation of anchor watch in Loading for container on MV. Meratus Java is less of coordination, there is no implementation of pre-arrival meeting, less of communication device. Effort of implementation anchor watch in Loading for container on MV. Meratus Java can be optimal if we do a coordination, give a lesson about pre-arrival meeting, enhance of communication device. Keywords: Watchkeeping, Port, Container
