Abstract
Fika Niara, 2010. NIT. 50135027. T, “Analisis penyebab rusaknya sudu pada Cargo Oil Pump Turbine di MT.Gamkonora”, Diploma IV Program, Technical, Merchant Marine Semarang, Advisor I: Dr. A. Agus Tjahjono, M.M, M.Mar.E., dan Advisor II: Dr. Capt. H. Sahabuddin Sunusi, M.T., M.Mar. Development of marine transportation today advanced so rapidly especially in Indonesia archipelago country ehere distribution to various island using ships, where the process of taking crude oil is taken from drilling and bought to refinery on land and re-distributed with ship after becoming ready-made fuel. In the process of dismantling there are containts experienced by the researcher at the time of the sea project, then from the contains author take the discussion about “Analisis rusaknya sudu pada Cargo Oil Pump Turbine di MT.Gamkonora. According to scientific principles in writing this research using qualitative methods with SWOT analysis, where the method of data collection is by interview, observation, quwstionnaire, and literature study. From the result of the research during sea project, the author finds the cause of the breaking of the blade of COPT namely the presence of leaks in the tube condenssor causing mixed seawater with condensation water that will result salinity in increasing boiler water will result in corrosion of all steam components including blades on COPT. The conclusion of the research is the need for attention and supervision of the leakage on the condenssor so checking of salinity levels on boilers water periodically is necessary to avoid the fatal damage causing obstruction process due to the breakdown of damage COPT.
