Abstract

Hendra Anang Fauzi, 2017, NIT. 50134968.T, “Response of Priority Decreased Vacuum in the Main Condenser for Main Steam Turbine on LNG/C Golar Mazo with USG Method”, Program D IV, Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic, lecture (1) Abdi Seno, M.Si., M.Mar.E, (2) Budi Joko Raharjo, M M. Steam turbine is the started propulsion are changed potential energy to kinetic energy and the kinetic energy to be changed mechanical energy on the rotation of turbine axis. The simple of steam turbine instalation contains of main component, there are main boiler for produced mechanical energy to be rotate of turbine axis, condenser for make condensation the exhaust steam from turbine to be water condensat, and feed water pump for filling the water condensat to the main boiler. Decreased vacuum can be make main steam system disturbed and can be failed (auto slow down) on main turbine. And this situation can be overcome with routine maintenance on the steam instalation system. This research used qualitative descriptive method with USG for determine the priority problem. The phenomenon that is taken is about the decrease of vacuum in the main condenser that greatly affect to perfomance of main turbine. And then to be determined problem caused about factor make decreased vacuum performance on main turbine, what is the effect from the factors, and priority for prevent decreased vacuum of main turbine. From the results of the research concluded that the vacuum decrease in the main condenser caused leakage on steam instalation and vacuum pump performance is not optimal. From this factors has impacts leakage on steam instalation making decrease of vacuum and air inside of main condenser can not maximum sucked. Main condenser is very important on vessel, there are completion are checked of steam pipe connection, maintenance and make clean of the gland steam exhaust fan, make routine job for maintenance, and then changed pump every month.
