Abstract

Wahyu Nuryanto, 50134922 T, 2017 “Optimizing the use of sewage plants in order to reduce marine pollution by ultrasound method in MV. Tsing Ma Bridge”, Courses tecnichal department, Diploma Program IV, Merchant Marine Polythecnic Supervisor I : Agus Hendro Waskito, M. M., M.Mar.E, Supervisor II : Budi Joko Raharjo, M. M Sewage plant is the best type of vacuum sewage processing aids to exploit the vacuum in the pipes so that sewage can flow toward the tank with a little water volume, with the use of evac pump to create a vacuum, crushing and transfered sewage to a holding tank. Lack of vacuum can make sewage stalled in the toilet, because the flow of sewage and water carrying her was blocked by the air in the pipe, so it raises a new problem, namely air pollution by odor and the need for the activities of processing waste water and sewage are not used to be disturbed. This experiment conducted during the writers implementing the practice of sea on board MV. Tsing Ma Bridge independently owned Osaka Asihi Kayun for twelve months. Sources of data obtained directly from the research and secondary data obtained from litertatur’s about operational’s of sewage plant with a vacuum system. The results obtained from research on no vacuum in the sewage system caused by blockage of the flow of water by the incoming air, their bodies / dirt on pipes, pumps and does not decrease the ability of FD valve can’t closed meeting. This is due to lack of maintenance the system of pipes and pumps and spare improper election and human eror that led to the damage. cause that water does not flow due to blocked, which eventually air in the pipe can not be removed from the pump due to cavitation and damage the evac pump.
