Abstract
Novik Irwanto, 50134975.T ”The analysis less optimal of rack fuel Pump at diesel generator on MV. Pan Margaret”, Program Diploma IV, Teknika, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Supervising professor I H. Aslang, M.Pd, M.Mar.E and Supervising professor II Sri Suyanti, SS, M.Si The background to the problem is the fuel rack that controls the least amount of fuel that goes into the fuel injection pump. If the fuel rack does not work optimally it will affect the performance of the diesel generator engine. The method used is the method of Urgency, Seriousness, Growth, which is one tool to arrange the order of priority issues to be solved, by determining the level of urgency, seriousness, and the development of issues by determining 1 - 5 or 1 - 10. Data collection techniques are done through Observation, documentation and literature study directly on subjects relating to the effect of fogging on the parent machine. There are many causes of the effect of less optimal rack fuel work on diesel generators, from the causes are analyzed to find the basic cause. In MV. PAN MARGARET. The effect of fuel rack does not work optimally, Plunger and tappet are not working optimally. Plunger and tappet is an influential component on the fuel rack work, If one of these components does not meet the criteria then the fuel distribution to the fuel injection pump is not running optimally.
