Abstract

Taufik rizqon, 50134951. 2017, “Identify the occurrence off ice flower on evaporator in MV Oriental jade”. Diploma IV, Teknika, Merchant Marine Polytechnic of Semarang, Supervisor I: : H. Suwondo,MM, M, Mar.E and Supervisor II: Capt. Marihot Simanjuntak, MM Refrigerant plant is refrigrant that used to preserve foodstuffs by storing in cold room and the temperature should be keep also adjusted to the material that being stored, so foodstuffs are always in fresh condition. A problem in refrigerant plant especially evaporator’s error can cause temperature in cold room become abnormal or decrease. Things to do to make cold room’s temperature become normal is maintenance and repairs on refrigerant plant’s parts especially the evaporator that appropriate with right procedure and manual book. Given the importance of the function of the food cooling machine (refrigerant plant) then the existence of the refrigerant plant should be treated properly. In this case the authors use the SWOT method approach, Factors of strength, weakness, oppurtunities and threats, it can be seen how the solution to overcome what factors cause the decrease in capacity on the compressor . The SWOT analysis can be applied by analyzing and sorting things that affect the four factors, then applying them in SWOT matrix images, where the application is how strengths are able to take advantage of the opportunities (oppurtunities) that exist, how to overcome weaknesses ( weakness) that prevents the advantages of oppurtunities, then how strengths are able to deal with existing threats, and the last is how to overcome weaknesses that can make threats become real or create a new threat. By doing right procedure and appropriate with manual book in maintenance and repairment of refrigeration food (refrigerant plant). May the temperature in refrigeration food can be reach or back to normal. So shipping activities can run fluently and the company doesn’t lose due to the destruction of ship operation.
