Abstract

INTISARI Muhammad Ivan Fadillah, NIT : 52155805.T, 2020, “Analisis terhadap Bearing pecah pada LO Purifier di MV. Spil Hayu”, Skripsi Program Studi Teknika , Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Drs. Edy Warsopurnomo.,M. M.Mar.E., Pembimbing II: Capt. Dwi Antoro, MM. M Mar Purifier diatas kapal salah satu mesin bantu yang memiliki peranan yang sangat penting untuk memisahkan minyak dari air, lumpur dan kotoran. Kegunaan dari minyak yang sudah bersih ini adalah untuk mendukung pengoperasian pelumas dari mesin induk untuk menghasilkan pelumasan yang baik, sehingga kerusakan pada mesin akibat panasnya mesin induk bisa dapat dikurangi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas hal-hal yang menyebabkan terjadinya pecahnya bearing pada LO Purifier, Dari penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode fishbone dan shel, untuk mencari akar penyebab permasalahan serta menggambarkan dampak dan mencari solusi permasalahan tersebut. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penyebab terjadinya pecahnya bearing adalah terjadi kurangnya presisi saat melakukan pemasangan pada body bowl yang dapat berdampak buruk terhadap kerja dari purifier. Ini ditandai dengan tidak normalnya proses purifikasi pada LO Purifier yang mengakibatkan minyak bersih tidak keluar melalui pipa keluaran minyak bersih, yang sering disebut juga overflow. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan diatas cara melakukannya yaitu bearing yang rusak diganti dengan yang baru serta perawatan secara periodik/berkala terhadap purifier tersebut benar-benar dijaga terutama perawatan yang dapat menimbulkan kerusakan pada bearing atau bagian yang lain, apabila terjadi kerusakan pada bearing tersebut maka segeralah diganti dengan yang baru dan dirawat sesuai dengan jam kerjanya yang tertera pada buku panduan manual book, sehingga kita tau cara untuk merawat purifier. Dwi Antoro,M.M.,M.Mar Purifier aboard one of the auxiliary engines which has a very important role to separate oil from water, mud and dirt. The purpose of this clean oil is to support the operation of the lubricant from the main engine to produce good lubrication, so that damage to the engine due to the heat of the main engine can be reduced. The purpose of this study is to discuss things that cause bearing rupture in the LO Purifier, From this study the authors used the fish bone and shel method, to find the root cause of the problem and describe the impact and find a solution to the problem. The results obtained from this study indicate that the cause of the bearing rupture is a lack of precision when mounting the body bowl which can adversely affect the work of the purifier. This is indicated by the abnormal purification process in the LO Purifier which results in clean oil not coming out through the clean oil output pipe, which is often called overflow. To overcome the problems above, how to do it is that the damaged bearings are replaced with new ones and periodic / periodic maintenance of the purifier is really maintained, especially maintenance that can cause damage to the bearing or other parts, if there is damage to the bearing, then immediately replaced with new and maintained in accordance with the hours of work listed in the manual, so we know how to take care of the purifier.
