Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Tegar Hariyo Pratomo, 2020, NIT : 52155580 N : ”Optimalisasi Fungsi Fire Detector di MT. Griya Ambon”, Skripsi Progam Nautika, Progam Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing : (I) Capt. Hadi Supriyono, M.Mar, M.M. (II) Capt. H. Suherman, M.Mar. Fungsi fire detector sangat membantu dalam mendeteksi bahaya kebakaran di MT. Griya Ambon, dengan dasar ini penulis merumuskan masalah bagaimana fungsi fire detector, faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan fire detector tidak bekerja secara optimal, dan upaya mengatasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan fire detector tidak bekerja secara optimal. Dalam penulisan skripsi ini, penulis menjabarkan tentang teori-teori yang digunakan dalam pembuatan laporan penelitian dan sebagai landasan untuk memecahkan masalah yang ada dalam proses penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang diamati dan teknik analisis data fishbone diagram digunakan untuk menemukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi fire detector tidak bekerja secara optimal. Dalam hal ini mengumpulkan data berupa pendekatan terhadap obyek melalui observasi, wawancara secara langsung terhadap subyek. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan masalah mengenai fungsi fire detector ditemukan adanya masalah-masalah yang meliputi fire detector tidak dapat mendeteksi panas, asap, api, dan fire detector tidak terhubung dengan fire control alarm dan fire alarm, selain itu faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan fire detector tidak bekerja secara optimal disebabkan oleh empat faktor utama yaitu (Man) crew kapal tidak melakukan familirization di kapal, (Machine) tidak dilakukannya perawatan fire detector sesuai prosedur, (Material) kondisi fire detector yang sudah tidak terawat dengan baik dan tidak bekerja secara optimal, (Metode) crew kapal melakukan prosedur yang salah saaat melakukan perawatan fire detector, pengecekan hanya dilakukan sekali selama enam bulan. Pembahasan dari hasil penelitian adalah crew kapal melakukan pengecekan fire detector secara berkala, crew harus melakukan familirization dan diadakan safety meeting tentang fire detector secara rutin di MT. Griya Ambon, melakukan perawatan fire detector sesuai prosedur, meningkatkan koordinasi antara pihak kapal dengan pihak perusahaan. Dalam hal ini disimpulkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan fungsi fire detector tidak bekerja secara optimal adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan crew tentang fire detector, meningkatkan perawatan fire detector di atas kapal, meningkatkan koordinasi antara pihak kapal dengan perusahaan, meningkatkan tanggung jawab perwira kapal. The function of the fire detector is very helpful in the detecting of fire hazards in MT. Griya Ambon, on this basis the authors formulated the problem of the function of a fire detector, the factors that cause fire detectors does not work optimally, and efforts to overcome the factors that cause fire detectors does not work optimally. In the discussion of this thesis, the author describes the theories used in making research reports and as a basis for solving problems that exist in the research process. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that produces descriptive data consisting of words written by people and analyzed and fishbone diagram data analysis techniques used to find the factors that cause fire detectors to be used optimally. In this case data collection involves involving the object through observation, direct interviews with subjects. Based on the results of research and discussion of problems conducted by the author during the practice of sailing in MT. Griya Ambon regarding fire detectors found that problems related to fire detectors cannot detect heat, smoke, fire, and fire detectors are not connected to fire control alarms and fire alarms, in addition to the factors that cause fire detectors to not work optimally caused by four main factors, (Human) the crew does not carry out familiarization on the ship, (Machine) does not regulate fire detector maintenance according to the procedure, (Material) the condition of the fire detector which is not well maintained and does not work optimally, (Method) the crew does wrong procedure when performing a fire detector treatment, checking is only done once for six months. Discussions from the results of the study are the crew doing a fire detector check periodically, the crew must familiarization and hold a safety meeting about fire detectors routinely at MT. Griya Ambon, conducts maintenance of fire detectors according to procedure, increasing the relationship between the ship and the company. In this case it was concluded that the efforts made to overcome the factors that caused the application of fire detectors did not work optimally increasing the crew's knowledge of fire detectors, improving fire detector maintenance on the ship, increasing coordination between the ship's needs with the company, increasing the responsibility of ship officers .
