Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Roy Irawan,2019, 52155759. T, “Identifikasi keretakan cylinder Liner Main Engine Di MV. Oriental Galaxy”, skripsi srogram studi Teknika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, pembimbing I: Drs. Edy Warsopurnomo, M.M, M.Mar.E, dan Pembimbing II: Capt. Arika Palapa, M.Si, M.Mar Cylinder liner adalah bagian dari mesin diesel yang berfungsi sebagai tempat proses terjadi pembakaran yang menghasilkan tenaga atau usaha dengan memanfaatkan udara dan suhu yang tinggi. Pada penulisan penelitian ini terjadi masalah pada main engine yang ditemukan yaitu terjadi keretakan pada cylinder liner main engine. Kemudian dilakukan penelitian untuk mencari faktor penyebab terjadi keretakan pada cylinder liner tersebut, mengetahui dampak yang disebabkan terjadi keretakan pada cylinder liner main engine, dan mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan terjadi keretakan pada cylinder liner tersebut, supaya dapat mencegah terjadi kerusakan yang sama pada main engine khususnya cylinder liner yang retak. Penulisan penelitian ini menggunakan metode fishbone analys, sesuai metode yang digunakan penulis masalah yang ditemukan dengan menganalisa faktor mesin yaitu: pelumasan cylinder liner tidak maksimal, kurang maksimal pendinginan pada cylinder liner dan terjadi keausan pada cylinder liner tersebut. Faktor manusia yaitu: Kurang pengetahuan masinis pada perawatan cylinder liner, faktor material: kualitas bahan pembuat cylinder liner tidak maksimal, faktor methode: pengoperasian dan perawatan tidak sesuai prosedur. Dampak yang ditimbulkan karena terjadi keretakan pada cylinder liner tersebut adalah terjadi keterlambatan pengiriman muatan yang disebabkan main engine mengalami masalah selama pelayaran kapal Setelah dilakukan analisa masalah dapat disimpulkan faktor penyebab terjadi keretakan cylinder liner dan upaya mengatasi pencegahan terjadi kerusakan tersebut yaitu: melakukan perawatan dan pengecekan pada aparator cylinder oil supaya dipastikan penyemprotan cylinder oil dapat keluar sesuai konsumsi yang dibutuhkan, kemudian untuk memaksimalkan system pendinginan pada cylinder liner dilakukan perawatan terhadap fresh water cooler main engine dan melakukan pembersihan dari kotoran dan kerang yang menempel pada filter sea chest. Melakukan pengecekan keausan pada cylinder liner dilakukan pengukuran dan pengecekan secara berkala pada diameter bor cylinder liner dan memeriksa catatan jam kerja pada cylinder liner main engine ABSTRACT Roy Irawan, 2019, 52155759. Arika Palapa, M.Si, M.Mar Cylinder liner is part of a diesel engine that functions as a place of combustion process that produces power or effort by utilizing air and high temperatures. At the writing of this research, there was a problem in the main engine that was found that there was a crack in the cylinder liner main engine. Then a study was conducted to find the causes of cracks in the cylinder liner, find out the impact caused by cracks in the cylinder engine main engine, and determine the efforts made to occur cracks in the cylinder liner, in order to prevent the same damage to the main engine, especially the cylinder a cracked liner. The writing of this study uses the fishbone analys method, according to the method used by the writer of the problem found by analyzing engine factors, namely: lubrication of the cylinder liner is not optimal, less maximum cooling on the cylinder liner and wear on the cylinder liner occurs. Human factors, namely: Lack of machinist knowledge in cylinder liner maintenance, material factors: the quality of the cylinder liner making material is not optimal, the method method: operation and maintenance are not in accordance with procedures. The impact caused by a crack in the cylinder liner is that there is a delay in the delivery of the cargo caused by the main engine experiencing problems during the cruise of the ship After analyzing the problem, it can be concluded that the factors causing the cylinder liner cracks and efforts to overcome the prevention of such damage are: maintenance and checking of the cylinder oil apparatus so that the cylinder oil can be sprayed according to the required consumption, then to maximize the cooling system on the cylinder liner is done care for fresh water cooler main engine and cleanse it from dirt and shells attached to the sea chest filter. Checking the wear on the cylinder liner periodically measuring and checking the diameter of the cylinder liner drill and checking the record of working hours on the cylinder liner main engine
