Abstract
Nurwuri Handiyatno, NIT: 50134821.N, 2017, "Analysis of Garbage Management Plan In MV. Hanjin Gdynia for the Prevention of Environmental Pollution Under Marpol 73/78 Annex V ", Diploma IV, Nautical Studies Program, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Supervisor I: Capt. I Kadek Laju, SH., M.M., M.Mar. Supervisor II: Henny Wahyu Wardhani, M.Pd. This research aimed to analyze about the handling of garbage on board to avoid the occurrence of pollution at sea. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with data collection method through interview, observation, documentation study, and literature study. Primary data obtained by through in the form of field data and interviews obtained from interviews with speakers while secondary data through documentation and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that most of the crew has not understood the procedures for handling garbage on board, the lack of care of Garbage Management Plan support tools well, and the impact of crew dumping waste regardless of existing rules so that sea pollution, especially in MV . Hanjin Gdynia. It can be concluded that the handling of Garbage Management Plan is very important on board to minimize marine pollution. Keywords : Garbage, Pollution and Garbage Management Plan.
