Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Andika Tulus Pangestu, NIT. 52155821.T, 2018 “Upaya Peningkatan Performa Engine Lifeboat di Atas Kapal MV. Andhika Paramesti”, Program Diploma IV, Teknika, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Nasri, M.T., M.Mar.E. dan Pembimbing II: Darul Prayoga, M.Pd Lifeboat adalah suatu alat keselamatan yang berada di atas kapal yang mempunyai fungsi untuk menyelamatkan diri bagi para anak buah kapal apabila kapal akan tenggelam, kandas, dan terbakar. Karena suatu kecelakaan maka lifeboat dapat dijadikan sebagai tempat tinggal darurat atau sementara untuk para anak buah kapal sampai ada pertolongan datang untuk para crew kapal. Lifeboat engine adalah suatu komponen mesin yang digunakan untuk menjalankan skoci penolong dengan penyalaan kompresi diatur dengan sedemikian rupa sehingga pada setiap saat dalam keadan siap pakai harus bisa dihidupkan dengan segera. Metode yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode Deskriptif Kualitatif dengan teknik analisa fishbone dan fault tree analysis sebagai metode untuk menentukan penyebab dan upaya untuk menanggulanginya. Adapun rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah faktor apa yang menjadi dasar dilaksanakanya perawatan ilifeboat, dampak dari perawatan yang kurang baik pada lifeboat terhadap keselamatan dan upaya yang dilakukan agar lifeboat dapat bekerja optimal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa penyebab dari dilaksanakanya perawatan lifeboat adalah mesin lifeboat yang tiba-tiba mati pada saat abandon ship drill, dikarenakan plan maintenance system terhadap injector yang tidak dilaksanakan. Dari faktor penyebab tersebut mengakibatkan tidak dapatnya mesin pada lifeboat untuk di start. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan performa dari lifeboat adalah melakukan perawatan berkala yang sesuai prosedur terhadap bagian bagian lifeboat diantaranya adalah dengan melakukan perawatan tiap dua ratus jam terhadap ijector dan melakukan perbaikan dan perawatan sesuai Plan Maintenance System yang sudah terjadwal. Lifeboat is a safety device that is on board a ship that has the function to save yourself for the crew when the ship will sink, run aground, and burn. Due to an accident the lifeboat can be used as an emergency or temporary residence for the crew until there is help coming for the crew of the ship. Lifeboat engine is a machine component that is used to run the helper skill with the ignition of the compression arranged in such a way that at any time in the ready-to-use mode it must be switched on immediately The method used in this thesis is Qualitative Descriptive method with the technique of fishbone analysis and fault tree analysis as a method to determine the causes and efforts to overcome them. The problem formulation of this research is what factors become the basis of the implementation of lifeboat treatment, the impact of poor maintenance on the lifeboat on safety and the efforts made to the lifeboat can work optimally. Based on the results of this study concluded that the cause of the implementation of lifeboat treatment is a lifeboat machine that suddenly stop when abandhon ship drill, because of plan maintenance system for the injector is not implemented. From the causes the engine lifeboat cannot be started. Efforts are made to improve the performance of the lifeboat is to perform periodic maintenance appropriate procedures for the lifeboat part of them is by doing weekly maintenance or Saturday routine and make repairs and maintenance according to Plan Maintenance System that are scheduled.
