Abstract

Sinar Solo”, skripsi Program Studi Teknika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Sarifuddin, M.Pd, M.Mar.E, Pembimbing II : Tony Santiko, S.ST, M.Si MFO purifier adalah mesin bantu di kapal yang berfungsi sebagai pemisah Bahan bakar (MFO) dari air dan lumpur guna memaksimalkan pembakaran di ruang bakar, sehingga perawatan dan perbaikan MFO purifier harus dilakukan sesuai dengan prosedur dalam manual book. Gangguan yang terjadi pada MFO purifier yang menyebabkan operasi tidak sempurna seperti yang diharapkan sehingga dapa mempengaruhi kurangnya kualitas pembakaran di ruang bakar. Karena banyaknya kemungkinan permasalahan pada MFO purifier, maka peneliti mengambil salah satu permasalahan saat melaksanakan penelitian yaitu kurang presisinya vertical dan horizontal shaft purifier. Metode analisa data yang digunakan oleh peneliti pada permasalahan tersebut adalah metode Fishbone dan Fault Tree Analysis. Fishbone digunakan untuk menganalisa masalah dengan faktor-faktor kemungkinan penyebab permasalahan. FTA digunakan untuk mendapatkan faktor yang memiliki prioritas utama melalui penelitian permasalahan. Berdasarkan analisa penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa gangguan yang terjadi pada MFO purifier di MV. Sinar Solo adalah tidak terpasangnya satu komponen di lower bearing pada vertical shaft, yaitu whaser. Dampak yang disebabkan yaitu kurang presisi pada hubungan vertical dengan horizontal shaft. Upaya yang dilakukan yaitu lakukan overhaul MFO purifier dan memasang komponen yang dinyatakan belum terpasang. Adapun saran dari peneliti yaitu melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan sangat diharuskan sesuai pedoman dari manual book, sehingga mesin dapat beroperasi sesuai standar. MFO purifier is an auxiliary machine in the ship that functions as a fuel separator (MFO) from water and mud to maximize combustion in the combustion chamber, so that maintenance and repair of MFO purifier must be carried out according to the procedure in the manual book. The interference that occurs in the MFO purifier which causes imperfect operation as expected so that it can affect the lack of quality of combustion in the combustion chamber. Because of the many possible problems with the MFO purifier, the researcher took one of the problems while carrying out the research, namely the lack of precision vertical and horizontal shaft purifier. The method of data analysis used by researchers on these problems is the Fishbone method and Fault Tree Analysis. Fishbone is used to analyze problems with possible factors causing the problem. FTA is used to get factors that have top priority through problem research. Based on the analysis of the research it can be concluded that the disturbance that occurs in the MFO purifier in the MV. Sinar Solo is not installed one component on the lower bearing on the vertical shaft, which is whaser. The impact caused is less precision in the relationship of vertical to horizontal shafts. An attempt is made to overhaul the MFO purifier and install components that are otherwise not installed. The suggestions from researchers are that maintenance and repairs are very required according to the guidelines of the manual book, so that the machine can operate according to the standard.
