Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Kurnia Sandy, NIT. 51145320.T, 2019 “ Analisa penyebab terjadinya keretakan cylinder liner motor diesel 4 tak di MV. Tanto Setia”, Program Diploma IV, Teknika, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: H. Irwan, SH, M.Pd, M.Mar.E dan Pembimbing II: Daryanto, S.H., M.M. Cylinder liner adalah suatu tabung tempat piston bekerja naik turun untuk memadatkan udara serta memindahkan tenaga panas menjadi tenaga kinetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya keretakan cylinder liner motor diesel, 2) Untuk mengetahui besar pengaruh yang ditimbulkan akibat keretakan cylinder liner. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah metode penelitian SHEL dan USG sebagai teknik analisa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang telah digunakan penulis di kapal MV. Tanto Setia pada tanggal 21 Oktober 2016 sampai dengan 22 Oktober 2017. Keretakan motor diesel 4 tak disebabkan oleh 4 faktor, yaitu: 1) Cold corrosion atau korosi yang tidak umum terjadi karena menyebabkan terjadinya keausan yang sangat luar biasa pada dinding cylinder liner 2) Pelumasan, pendinginan dan pembakaran, 3) Human error, 4) Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP). Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah cold corrosion (prioritas 1), pelumasan, pendinginan dan pembakarn (prioritas 2), human error (prioritas 3) Standar Operasional Kapal (SOP) di atas kapal (prioritas 4). Saran untuk menunjang kelancaran operasional kapal adalah meningkatkan kesadaran crew kapal akan pentingnya melaksanakan perawatan komponen cylinder liner secara berkala. Dan sebaiknya perusahan melengkapi manual book yang sesuai dengan permesinan yang ada di kapal agar seluruh crew kapal tidak kesulitan dalam melaksanakan perawatan permesinan. Cylinder liner is a tube where the piston works up and down to compress the air and move heat power into kinetic energy. This study aims: 1) To determine the causes of the cracking of diesel motor cylinder liners, 2) To determine the magnitude of the effect caused by cracking the cylinder liner. The research method that I use is the research method of SHEL and USG as a qualitative and quantitative data analysis technique. The results of the study using qualitative and quantitative methods that have been used by the author on the MV ship. Tanto Setia from October 21, 2016 to October 22, 2017. The crack of a diesel engine 4 is not caused by 4 factors, namely: 1) Cold corrosion or corrosion which is not common because it causes very unusual wear on the cylinder liner wall 2) Lubrication, cooling and combustion, 3) Human error, 4) Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). The conclusion of the study is cold corrosion (priority 1), lubrication, cooling and conversion (priority 2), human error (priority 3) Ship Operational Standard (SOP) on board (priority 4). Suggestion to support the smooth operation of the ship is to increase the awareness of the crew of the ship on the importance of carrying out maintenance of the cylinder liner component regularly. And it is better for the company to complete the manual book that is in accordance with the machinery on board so that all ship crew have no difficulty in carrying out machinery maintenance.
