Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Rangga Bayu Prasetya, 2019, NIT : 51145389. T, “Analisa Kerusakan Compressor Pada Refrigerator di MV. Karunia”, skripsi Program Studi Teknika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: F. Pambudi Widiatmaka, ST, MT., M.Mar.E, Pembimbing II : Capt. Agus Hadi Purwantomo, M.Mar. Compressor refrigerator adalah salah satu permesinan di kapal yang membantu berjalannya proses pendinginan bahan makanan. Compressor di dalam sistem mesin pendingin bahan makanan berfungsi untuk menghisap zat refrigerant dari sisi tekanan rendah dan menekannya menuju sisi tekanan tinggi. Compressor merupakan jantung dari mesin pendingin bahan makanan. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kerusakan compressor pada refrigerator yang berdampak pada proses pendinginan bahan makanan di MV. Karunia. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan dalam penyusunan skripsi ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dalam hal ini penulis menggunakan teknik analisa data SHEL untuk menentukan masalah dan USG sebagai teknik analisa data untuk menentukan prioritas dari permasalahan yang terjadi. Penggunaan metode USG ini yaitu dengan membandingkan dari masalah yang ada untuk di lihat seberapa gawat (urgent), serius (seriously) dan bagaimana perkembangan isu (growth) dari masalah-masalah yang di dapat sehingga di peroleh faktor prioritas yang harus segera di selesaikan dari masalah yang telah diketahui yaitu kerusakan compressor refrigerator berupa pecahnya piston. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan peneliti, menunjukkan bahwa penyebab kerusakan compressor refrigerator adalah tidak bekerjanya dual pressure switch akibat kebocoran membran dan macetnya spring mekanik. Dampak dari kerusakan compressor refrigerator adalah terhentinya proses pendinginan bahan makanan sehingga berpengaruh pada kualitas bahan makanan. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kerusakan compressor refrigerator adalah dengan melakukan overrhaul. Disimpulkan bahwa faktor yang menyebabkan kerusakan compressor refrigerator adalah tidak bekerjanya dual pressure switch. Kerusakan pada compressor refrigerator ini berdampak terhadap proses pendinginan bahan makanan, sehingga harus dilakukan upaya perbaikan yaitu dengan melakukan overhaul untuk mengganti komponen yang rusak. Agus Hadi Purwantomo, M.Mar. Refrigerator compressor is one of other machinery that helps run the process of cooling food ingredients on board. Compressor in the cooling system of food ingredients serves to suck the refrigerant from the low pressure side and press it towards the high pressure side of the refrigerator system. Compressor is the heart of the food cooling. This thesis aims to analyze damage to compressors on refrigerators that have an impact on the process of cooling food in the MV. Karunia. The research method that i use in the preparation of this thesis is a qualitative deskriptive research method, in this case the author uses the SHEL method to determine the problem and USG method as a data analysis technique to determine the priority of the problems that occur. The use of thie USG method is to compare existing problems to see how urgent (urgent), serious (seriously) and how the development of issue (growth) in the problems that obtained, so the factor of priority obtained that must be resolved immediately from the known problem is the compressor refrigerator damage in form of rupture of the piston. From the results of the research conducted by researchers, it shows that the cause of the refrigerator compressor damage is the failure of dual pressure switch due to membran leakage and mechanical spring jams. Impact of refrigerator compressor damage is the cessation of the process of cooling food so that it effects to quality of food ingredients. Efforts made to overcome the damage to refrigerator compressor is by overhauling. It was concluded thet the factor that caused damage to the refrigerator compressor was absence of a dual pressure switch. Damage to compressor refrigerators has an impact on the process of cooling food ingredients, so repairs must be made by overhauling to replace damaged components.
