Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Maulana Malik, NIT. 51145417.T, 2019 “Analisis penyebab kerusakan piston crown mesin induk di MV. Noah Satu”, Program Diploma IV, Teknika, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: H. Amad Narto, M.Pd. M.Mar.E dan Pembimbing II: Adi Oktavianto. Dasar tujuan dari perawatan bagian mesin induk di kapal adalah untuk membantu kelancaran suatu sistem kerja mesin induk, sehingga terjadi keselarasan dan kelancaran didalam suatu operasional sebuah kapal. Salah satu bagian mesin induk disini adalah piston crown. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode SHEL dan USG. Metode untuk menganalisa masalah. Adapun rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah faktor yang mengakibatkan kerusakan piston crown, dampak yang ditimbulkan akibat kerusakan piston crown, upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kerusakan piston crown mesin induk. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa penyebab kerusakan piston crown pada mesin mesin induk adalah adanya keretakan di bagian piston crown. Dampak yang ditimbulkan dari faktor kerusakan piston crown yaitu terjadinya kebocoran kompresi mesin induk. Upaya yang dilakukan adalah melakukan pemeriksan dan perbaikan pada piston crwon dan melakukan standart perawatan dan perbaikan sesuai dengan manual book sehingga mesin induk dapat kembali bekerja dengan optimal. One of the main engine parts here is the piston crown. The method used is the SHEL and USG method. Methods for analyzing problems. The formulation of the problem from this study is the factor that resulted in piston crown damage, the impact caused by piston crown damage, efforts made to overcome the damage to the piston crown of the main engine. From the results of this study it was concluded that the cause of piston crown damage on the main engine engine was the crack in the piston crown. The impact of the piston crown damage factor is the occurrence of main engine compression leakage. Efforts are made to do a check and repair on the crwon piston and carry out standard maintenance and repairs in accordance with the manual book so that the main engine can return to work optimally.
