Abstract

Amin Musafa, 2018, NIT : 51145204.N, “The Effects Of Purging Process To LPG/C Gas Melawi Crew’s Health”, Deck Department Diploma IV, Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic, Preceptor I: Capt. Agus Subardi, M.Mar. Preceptor II: Tony Santiko,S,ST.,M.Si. Health and safety of the crew is essential when working on the ship, whether working merchant vessel or other kind of vessel. Lpg/c Gas Melawi is one of merchant tanker ship. One of the company's efforts of “pelayaran usaha gas elpindo” company to realizing the health and safety of the crew is to provide training to the crew and facilitate everything for the health and safety of the crew. However, in actual crew did not implement the appropriate procedure in because of less awareness of the crew it self. This is proven from some of the complaints from the crew, when purging some health problems occurs. This study uses a quantitative and descriptive method that aims to improve awareness of crew to carry out the purging process in propen good and right way. Sampling of total 17 respondents, data collection techic through questionnaire, documentation, direct observation and interviews. While the analysis and data processing use the fishbone and USG. From the analysis of the data showed that the variables affect purging process and can give impact to the health of the vesse crewl. So when the purging process in the vessel Lpg / c Gas Melawi, variables researched in this study should be noticed, in order to make the process of purging can went well and does not damage the health of the crew aboard Lpg / c Gas Melawi.
