Abstract
Willy Indra, 2018, NIT : 50134891 N, “Upaya Mencegah Terjadinya Kecelakaan Kerja Di MT. Mundu Pada Saat Memasuki Kompartemen Tertutup”, minithesis Nautical Studies Program, Diploma Program IV, Merchant Marine Polytechnic Semarang, Supervisor I: Capt. Hadi Supriyono, M.M., M.Mar, Supervisor II: H. Suharso, SH, S.Pd., S.E., M.M Enclosed space is a space which has limitations for entry and exit and is not designed to work continuously as cargo tanks, ballast tanks, pump room and other rooms. Many fatal accidents (resulting in death) occurred against workers because they do not understand and heed the practices and procedures were correct. This study aims to find the safest way to enter the closed compartment and look for ways to anticipate before keclakan fatal. The research method research approach using qualitative methods. Sources of data collected and used in the preparation of this paper was obtained from sources of primary data and secondary data sources. Methods of collecting and downloading data using observation, interviews, library research and documentation. The results of this research have found the safest way to enter the enclosed space such as safety meeting should be held, checking, application management in handling the closed compartment on top of MT. Mundu and their anticipatory action work accident before work takes place inside the compartment is a series of research findings in the field. Analysis of the results of such research and planning stages of the formation of the organization of work, the role of the officer in the organization of work and knowledge of the personnel on the handling of enclosed space and the use of equipment. The conclusion of the research is the application of management in handling jobs at the closed compartment in MT. Mundu can run well. Planning and establishment of the organization of work done when safety meeting prior to the work, the role of the officer in the organization of work and knowledge of the personnel on the handling of enclosed compartments and the use of equipment so support the entire series of work.
