Abstract

Ismayadi Subrata, 2017, NIT : 49124451.N, “The Effect of Purging Process for Health Crew Lpg/c Lady Margaux”, Deck Department Diploma IV, Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic, Preceptor I: Sahabuddin Sunusi. Preceptor II: Sri Murdiwati. Health and safety crew is essential when working on the ship, whether working in the field of commercial ships or not. Lpg / c Lady Margaux is one merchant tanker ship . One of the company's efforts BSM (Bernhard Schulte shipmanagement) in realizing the health and safety of the crew is to provide training to the crew and facilitate everything for the health and safety of the crew. However, in actual crew did not implement the appropriate procedure in because of less of awareness of the crew it self. This is evident from some of the complaints crew when purging implementation experience health problems. This study uses a quantitative method that aims to improve awareness crew to carry out the purging process is good and right. Sampling a total of 17 respondents, data collection through questionnaire / questionnaire, documentation, direct observation and interviews. While the analysis and data processing using SPSS version 23 and Microsoft Word 2010. From the analysis of the data showed that the variables which affect thorough purging process and can impact on the health of the crew vessel. So when execution of purging in the vessel Lpg / c Lady Margaux, variables researched in this study should be noticed that the process of purging can went well and does not damage the health of the crew aboard Lpg / c Lady Margaux.
