Abstract

Fauzi, Mavji Mochammad, 531611105915 N, 2021, “Analisis Keterlambatan Proses Pendinginan Muatan Gas Polymer Grade Propylene di atas LPG/C Coral Millepora”, Program Diploma IV, Program Studi Nautika, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Capt. Akhmad Ndori, S.ST., M.M., M.Mar, Pembimbing II: Vega F, Andromeda. S.ST, S. S.Pd,M.Hum. LPG Carrier merupakan salah satu kapal yang dapat membawa muatan gas yang berbentuk cair dibawah temperatur -48 oC. Dalam menciptakan dan mempertahankan temperatur tersebut, LPG Carrier di fasilitasi dengan alat reliquefaction plant. Salah satu faktor penting pada efektifitas pembongkaran dan pemuatan adalah pada reliquefaction plant yang mengambil peran vital dalam sukses atau tidaknya pendinginan muatan yang dibawa kapal tersebut. Jika salah satu alat pada reliquefaction plant mengalami kerusakan maka dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan proses pendinginan muatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya keterlambatan proses pendinginan muatan gas polymer grade propylene di atas LPG/C Coral Millepora serta menangani keterlambatan tersebut. Dalam skripsi ini, penyebab keterlambatan pendinginan muatan serta bagaimana penanganan yang dilaksanakan guna menangani keterlambatan pendinginan muatan menjadi landasan bagi pemecahan masalahnya. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah deskriptif (segi penyajian data) dan kualitatif (segi pengolahan data). Adapun teknik pengolahan data berupa pendekatan terhadap obyek melalui wawancara, observasi secara langsung terhadap subyek serta didukung kuat dengan dokumen baik berupa foto atau dokumen paper based yang berkaitan dengan keterlambatan proses pendinginan muatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh penyebab terjadinya keterlambatan proses pendinginan muatan gas polymer grade propylene ditemukan saat kapal berlayar dari Brofjorden menuju Antwerp di atas LPG/C Coral Millepora serta bagaimana penanganan yang dilakukan guna menangani hal tersebut. Chief officer dan chief engineer sebagai perwira yang bertanggung jawab langsung terhadap bongkar muat harus waspada dengan masalah yang timbul dari alam, maupun dari reliquefaction plant itu sendiri sehingga tidak terjadi keterlambatan proses pendinginan muatan. Adapun saran dari penulis bahwa kegiatan pendinginan muatan harus dilaksanakan dengan waspada terhadap kemungkinan masalah yang timbul dari alam maupun dari reliquefaction plant itu sendiri dan selalu menjaga efektifitas pada reliquefaction plant tersebut supaya keterlambatan pendinginan muatan tidak terjadi kembali.

In creating and maintaining these temperatures, LPG Carrier is facilitated with reliquefaction plant. One of the important factors in the effectiveness of loading and discharge cargo is in the reliquefaction plant that takes a vital role in the success or not reliquefy the cargo which carried by vessel. If one part in the reliquefaction plant is damaged, it can cause delays to reliquefy the cargo. The purpose of this thesis is to find out the cause of the delay in reliquefaction of polymer grade propylene gas on LPG/C Coral Millepora and to fix the delay. In this thesis, the cause of the delay in reliquefaction and how to fix implemented to fix the delay in reliquefaction becomes the basis for solving the problem. The research method that researchers use is descriptive (in terms of data presentation) and qualitative (in terms of data processing). Data processing techniques in the form to approach the objects through interviews, direct observation of the subject, and strongly supported by documents either in the form of photos or paper-based documents related to the delay in the process of reliquefaction. Based on the results of this study was obtained the cause of the delay in reliquefaction of polymer grade propylene gas found when the vessel sailed from Brofjorden to Antwerp on LPG/C Coral Millepora and how it was done to deal with it. The chief officer and chief engineer as the responsible officer for loading and discharge must take cautions to problems arising from nature, as well as from the reliquefaction plant itself so that there is no delay in the process of reliquefaction. As for the advice from the author that the reliquefaction activities should be carried out with caution to the possibility of problems arising from nature and from the reliquefaction plant itself and always maintain the effectiveness of the reliquefaction plant so that the delay in reliquefaction does not occur anymore.
