Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Rio Satrio Adi, 2019, Analisis Kebocoran Drain Valve Saat Bongkar Pada MV. Gas Attaka di Terminal Balikpapan . Pembimbing : Capt. Arika Palapa., M.Si M.Mar dan Sri Murdiwati, S.Sos.,M.Si Dengan berkembangnya kebutuhan penggunaan Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), Bahaya yang dapat terjadi di kapal LPG yaitu kebocoran. Dengan perumusan masalah sebagai berikut: a. Hal-hal apa sajakah yang menyebabkan terjadinya kebocoran drain valve pada saat bongkar pada MV. Gas Attaka? , b. Bagaimana upaya pencegahan kobocoran drain valve pada saat bongkar di MV. Gas Attaka?. Berlandaskan teori-teori tentang judul yang diangkat berkaitan tentang penyebab kebocoran dan penanganan yang benar sesuai dengan prosedur dan ceklist, serta dilengkapi kerangka berfikir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Deskriftif Kualitatif yaitu menggambarkan dan menguraikan objek yang diteliti. Data yang digunakan yaitu data yang diperoleh selama penelitian atau data primer dan data sekunder. Dari deskripsi objek penelitian menjelaskan kapal LPG/C Attaka serta proses penanganan muatan LPG loading dan discharge, analisis masalah dari penyebab terjadinya kebocoran muatan di kapal LPG/C Attaka yaitu: a. Kelalaian crew pada saat dinas jaga, b. Kondisi peralatan yang berkarat di manifold draining, penanganan pada kebocoran muatan yaitu sesuai dengan prosedur serta ceklist, kerugian yang dialami saat kebocoran muatan yaitu tidak ada namun kebocoran muatan tersebut dapat menyebabkan bahaya seperti kebakaran, kehilangan muatan, serta bahaya bagi kesehatan crew kapal. Sehingga pemecahan masalah yang dilaksanakan yaitu dengan memberi motivasi kerja, mengingatkan, serta mengawasi crew pada saat pelaksanaan dinas jaga untuk menanggulangi kelalaian crew, serta meningkatkan perawatan pada peralatan bongkar muat. Simpulan dari skripsi ini ialah kelalaian crew dan kondisi peralatan yang berkarat merupakan penyebab dari kebocoran muatan, penanganan yang dilakukan ialah sesuai dengan prosedur dan ceklist, kerugian yang dialami oleh kapal tidak ada. saran yang diberikan yaitu meningkatkan kembali kewaspadaan crew guna meminimalisir kelalaian, meningkatkan perawatan peralatan bongkar muat guna menjaga kualitas peralatan bongkar muat tersebut, dengan saran tersebut diharapkan proses pelaksanaan penanganan muatan sesuai dengan prosedur dan ceklist. Arika Palapa., M.Si M.Mar and Sri Murdiwati, S.Sos.,M.Si With the increase of usage of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), danger may be happen at the LPG vessel is leakage, which is resulting the formulation of the problem such as: a. What are the things that cause leakage of drain valve when discharging on MV. Gas Attaka? b. How to prevent the leakage of drain valve when discharging on MV. Gas Attaka?. Based on the theories cause of the leakage and the appropriate handling to the procedure and checklist, also completed by theoretical framework.The researcher use descriptive qualitative method to describe and explain the object has been research. During the research, researcher found some data which can be separated into two; primary data and secondary data. Based on the data that researcher gets from the research and the handling process of LPG loading and discharge, the cause of the load leakage is: a. the crews negligence when does their job, b. the tools in manifold draining were in bad condition. The handling of load leakage was fit to the procedure and checklist. Loss of profit when the cargo leakage was not significant, but the leakage could make any dangerous like fire, loss of weight, and damage for crew’s health. According to that problem, the solution that can do such as giving motivation to crews, reminding the crews, and supervising the crews when they do their duty. Beside that advantage, the solution can also improve the maintenance of the loading and discharge equipment. The conclusion of the research is the crews’ negligence and bad condition of the equipment cause the load leakage. The handling was appropriate to procedure and checklist. The loss of profit was not experienced to the vessel. Based on those problems, the researcher has some suggestions to improve the vigilance of crews and keep the load and discharge equipment in clean so that the loading and discharge process run in line with the procedure and checklist
