Abstract

ABSTRAK Dani Septyawan, (51145311 T), 2019 “Identifikasi penyebab tidak bekerjanya main cylinder pada fuel oil purifier di MV. Orchard Maritime Services Semeru”, skripsi Program Studi Teknika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: H. Irwan, SH, M.Pd, M.Mar.E, dan Pembimbing II: Dr. Winarno, S.ST, M.H. Fuel oil purifier adalah pesawat bantu yang berfungsi untuk memisahkan minyak, air dan kotoran dengan cara gaya sentrifugal yang bekerja berdasarkan perbedaan berat jenis minyak, air dan kotoran, sehingga zat yang mempunyai berat jenis lebih besar akan terlempar dahulu keluar. Adanya permasalahan atau gangguan pada sistem komponen main cylinder fuel oil purifier dapat menyebabkan gagalnya proses purifikasi, karena hal tersebut maka perlu adanya penanganan yang cepat terhadap faktor penyebab gangguan fuel oil purifier agar kebutuhan bahan bakar yang bersih selalu terpenuhi, yaitu dengan cara melakukan perbaikan dan perawatan yang tepat pada setiap bagian fuel oil purifier serta pengoperasian yang benar sesuai dengan petunjuk Instruction Manual Book yang terdapat di setiap kapal. Dalam penelitian skripsi ini, peneliti menjabarkan tentang fungsi komponen main cylinder pada fuel oil purifier untuk memacahkan masalah yang ada dalam proses penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan metode kualitatif. Dengan melakukan pengamatan, wawancara dan kepustakaan. Teknik analisa data menggunakan SHEL (Software Hardware Environment Liftware) dan metode USG (Urgency Seriousness Growth). Dengan melaksanakan prosedur tersebut diharapkan sistem fuel oil purifier dapat menghasilkan produksi bahan bakar bersih dan maksimal. Sehingga kegiatan pelayaran dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan perusahaan tidak mengalami kerugian yang disebabkan terganggunya kelancaran operasional kapal. Pada akhir bagian Skripsi ini Peneliti menyajikan simpulan dan saran. Untuk mengatasi masalah yang terjadi dan memberi saran agar melaksanakan perbaikan dan perawatan sesuai Instruction Manual Book. Fuel oil purifier is a Auxiliary Aircraft that functions to separate oil, water and dirt by means of centrifugal forces that work based on differences in density of oil, water and dirt, so substances that have a greater density will be thrown out first. The existence of problems or disturbances in the fuel oil purifier main cylinder component system can cause the purification process to fail because, because of this, there is a need for rapid handling of factors causing fuel oil purifier disruption so that clean fuel needs are always met, namely by making proper repairs and maintenance on each part of the fuel oil purifier and the correct operation in accordance with the Instruction Manual Book instructions contained on each ship. In this research, the researcher described the function of the main cylinder component in the fuel oil purifier to solve the problems that exist in the research process. The method used is descriptive method and qualitative method. By making observations, interviews and literature. Data analysis techniques use SHEL (Software Hardware Environment Liftware) and USG (Urgency Seriousness Growth) methods. By implementing these procedures it is expected that the fuel oil purifier system can produce clean and maximum fuel production. So that shipping activities can run smoothly and the company does not suffer losses due to disruption of the smooth operation of the ship. At the end of this section the researcher presents conclusions and suggestions. To overcome the problems that occur and give advice to carry out repairs and maintenance according to the Instruction Manual Book.
