Abstract

Miftahul Huda, 2018, NIT: 50134756.N, " Obstacles in Implementing Crude Oil Washing on MT. Gede", paper of Nautical Studies Program, Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Supervisor I: Capt. Arika Palapa, M.SI., M.Mar., Supervisor II: Ir. Fitri Kensiwi, M.Pd Implementation of crude oil washing on MT. Gede can not run optimally, because of the lack of equipment. The purpose of this thesis is to know the solutions in the implementation of crude oil washing on MT. Gede and to know the efforts that must be done to overcome the implementation of crude oil washing on the MT. Gede. In this paper the authors use SWOT analysis research method. SWOT analysis The method used in this thesis is descriptive qualitative with SWOT analysis technique. SWOT analysis is the systematic identification of various factors to formulate the company's strategy. This analysis is based on logic that maximizes strength and opportunity, but can simultaneously minimize weaknesses and threats. From the results of research conducted by the author, the authors can conclude that the constraints in the implementation of crude oil washing on the ship MT. Among others, the lack of attention to the tank rinsing procedure that has been determined, the lack of maintenance equipment crude oil washing, and the company is less responsive related crude oil washing equipment is less complete. Attempts to cope are to conduct training on crude oil washing procedures, maintenance of crude oil washing equipment outside of regular schedule and the captain participate in supervising the implementation of crude oil washing.
