Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Wibowo, Teguh Bimo, 2020, NIT: 531611306218 K, “Analisis terjadinya pembekuan crude palm oil pada Bg. Bumi Elaeis Tujuh saat proses loading di pelabuhan Marunda Center Terminal”, Program Diploma IV, Program Studi Ketatalaksanaan Angkutan Laut dan Kepelabuhanan, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Nur Rohmah, S.E., M.M. Pembimbing II: Latifa Ika Sari, S.Psi., M.Pd. Kegiatan pemuatan crude palm oil memerlukan penanganan khusus. Hal ini, dikarenakan crude palm oil yang sensitif terhadap perubahan suhu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya pembekuan crude palm oil di Bg. Bumi Elaeis Tujuh, akibat pembekuan tersebut, serta upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya pembekuan crude palm oil tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis fishbone yang akan menunjukan sebuah dampak atau akibat dari sebuah permasalahan. Peneliti melibatkan seorang staf dan agent dalam wawancara, serta melakukan observasi untuk mengamati proses pemuatan crude palm oil pada Bg. Bumi Elaeis Tujuh di pelabuhan Marunda Center Terminal. Peneliti juga mengumpulkan data cargo manifest, Bill of Lading, dan time sheet untuk mendukung informasi yang didapatkan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah penyebab terjadinya pembekuan crude palm oil di Bg. Bumi Elaeis Tujuh yaitu perubahan cuaca saat pemuatan crude palm oil berlangsung, kurangnya pengetahuan tenaga kerja bongkar muat terhadap pemuatan crude palm oil, kurangnya pengawasan loading master, dan muatan yang terlalu lama di shore tank. Akibat yang ditimbulkan dengan terjadinya pembekuan crude palm oil yaitu tidak menentunya suhu saat pemuatan crude palm oil berlangsung, terhambatnya pemuatan crude palm oil, tenaga kerja bongkar muat yang tidak bekerja maksimal, dan membekunya crude palm oil sebelum dimuat ke atas kapal. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya pembekuan crude palm oil yaitu memperhatikan prakiraan cuaca sebelum kapal sandar, melakukan pelatihan kerja terhadap tenaga kerja bongkar muat yang terkait, meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap tenaga kerja bongkar muat, dan mepercepat pemuatan dari shore tank ke truk sebelum dimuat ke atas kapal. Supervisor II: Latifa Ika Sari, S.Psi., M.Pd. Loading activities of crude palm oil require special handling. This is because crude palm oil is sensitive to temperature changes. This research aims to determine the cause of the freezing crude palm oil in Bg. Bumi Elaeis Tujuh, due to the freezing, and efforts made to prevent the freezing of crude palm oil. The research method used by researchers is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection methods using interview techniques, observations, and documentation. The Data is then analyzed using a fishbone analysis technique that will show an impact or result of a problem. Researchers involve a staff and an agent in interviews, as well as observe the process of loading crude palm oil on Bg. Bumi Elaeis Tujuh at the port of the Marunda Center Terminal. Researchers also collected data on cargo manifest, Bill of Lading, and time sheet to support the information obtained. Results obtained from this research is the cause of the freezing crude palm oil in Bg. Bumi Elaeis Tujuh is a weather change when loading crude palm oil is underway, lack of knowledge of the labor of loading and unloading crude palm oil, lack of supervision of the loading master, and the charge is too long on the shore tank. The consequences caused by the occurrence of crude palm oil freezing is not the temperature when loading crude palm oil is taking place, the discharging of crude palm oil, labor loading and unloading is not maximized, and supplying crude palm oil before it is loaded on the ship. Efforts undertaken to prevent the freezing of crude palm oil is to pay attention to the weather forecasts before the sanding vessel, conducting training on the loading and unloading workforce, improving the supervision of the stevedoring workforce, and rapidly loading from the shore tank to the truck before it is loaded on the ship.
