Abstract

INTISARI Haidar Zaqik, 2020, NIT : 52155768.T, “Analisis Menurunnya Tekanan Minyak Pelumas pada Main Air Compressor di MV.KT 06 ”, skripsi Program Studi Teknika, Progran Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Amad Narto, M.Mar.E, M.Pd dan Pembimbing II: Dr. Riyanto , SE , M.Pd. Main air compressor adalah suatu pesawat bantu di atas kapal yang berfungsi untuk memproduksi udara bertekanan yang digunakan untuk media penjalan/starting motor induk dan motor bantu, sebagai control air berbagai permesinan bantu, sebagai angin suling kapal dan untuk mengoperasikan berbagai alat-alat pneumatik di atas kapal. Kinerja main air compressor ditunjang oleh beberapa sistem yang bekerja di dalamnya, salah satunya yaitu sistem pelumasan. Penurunan tekanan minyak pelumas dari tekanan normal akan mengganggu proses produksi udara bertekanan pada main air compressor . Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab menurunnya tekanan minyak pelumas pada main air compressor, dampak yang ditimbulkan dari menurunnya tekanan minyak pelumas pada main air compressor dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah faktor penyebab turunnya tekanan minyak pelumas pada main air compressor di MV.KT 06. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan dalam penyusunan skripsi ini adalah deskriptif kualitaf dengan menggunakan pendekatan fishbone dan SHEL untuk mempermudah dalam teknik analisis data. Metode pengumpulan data yang penulis lakukan adalah dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah penulis lakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor penyebab menurunnya tekanan minyak pelumas pada main air compressor di MV.KT 06 adalah, 1) Bercampurnya minyak pelumas pada main air compressor dengan pendingin air tawar yang disebabkan oleh kebocoran pada paking kepala silinder 2) Ketidaksesuaian Plan Maintenance System(PMS) yang dilakukan. Dampak yang ditimbulkan adalah 1) Berkurangnya atau bahkan tidak adanya hasil produksi udara bertekanan pada main air compressor. 2) Mempercepat keausan komponen-komponen main air compressor. 3) Terganggunya proses olah gerak pada kapal. Untuk mencegah faktor-faktor penyebab menurunnya tekanan minyak pelumas pada main air compressor, upaya yang harus dilakukan adalah dengan, 1) Memeriksa kebocoran-kebocoran pada sistem pelumasan . 2) Melakukan penggantian filter minyak pelumas secara berkala. 3) Melakukan pengecekan paking-paking pembatas. Main air compressor is one of the auxilary machinery on board which functions to produce pressurized air which is used for starting the main engine and auxilary engine, as a control air for various auxilary machineries, as a ship’s wind flute, and to operate a variety of pneumatic tools above ship. The performance of the main air compressor is supported by several system that work inside, one of them is lubrication system. Decreasing the pressure of the lubricating oil from normal pressure will disrupt the process of producing pressurized air on the main air compressor. The purpose of this research was to determine the factors causing the decrease in lubricating oil pressure on the main air compressor, the impact caused by the decrease in lubricating oil pressure on the main air compressor and the efforts made to prevent the factors causing the decrease in lubricating oil pressure on the main air compressor in MV.KT 06. The research method used by the author in the preparation of this thesis is descriptive quality using a fishbone and SHEL approach to facilitate data analysis techniques. The method of collecting data that the authors do is by observation, interview and documentation study. Based on the results of research that the authors have done, it can be concluded that the factors causing the decrease in lubricating oil pressure on the main air compressor in MV.KT 06 are, 1) The mixing of lubricating oil on the main air compressor with fresh water cooling caused by leakage on cylinder head gasket 2 ) Non-compliance Plan Maintenance System (PMS) is done. The impact is 1) The reduction or even the absence of the production of the pressurized air on the main air compressor. 2) Speed up the wear components of the main air compressor. 3) Disruption of the motion process on the ship. To prevent the factors that cause a decrease in oil pressure on the main air compressor, efforts must be made are, 1) Check for leaks in the lubrication system. 2) periodically change the lubricating oil filter. 3) check the limiting gasket.
