Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Ghonim At-Tuqo, 2019, NIT. 52155650 N, “Pelaksanaan Cargo Hold Cleaning Muatan Curah yang Berbeda di Pelabuhan yang Sama”, skripsi Program Studi Nautika, Program Diploma IV Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I : Dr. Capt. Suwiyadi, M.Pd., M.Mar., Pembimbing II : Sri Purwantini, SE, S.Pd., MM. Persiapan ruang muat yang dilakukan di pelabuhan memerlukan perencaan strategi yang tepat, efektif, efisien, dan terkoordinasi dengan baik agar membuahkan hasil kerja yang optimal, karena persiapan ruang muat merupakan faktor penting dalam proses pemuatan muatan di atas kapal. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan cargo hold cleaning muatan curah yang berbeda di pelabuhan yang sama, mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala apa yang dihadapi, dan menganalisis upaya dalam mengatasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, metode ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan dan menguraikan obyek yang diteliti. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dengan senior officer di kapal, observasi partisipan, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan cargo hold cleaning di pelabuhan yaitu tool box meeting, tool preparation, execution, yang terakhir evaluation. Kendala yang terjadi pada saat pelaksanaan cargo hold cleaning adalah kondisi tubuh crew yang kelelahan (fatigue), waktu yang tersedia terlampau singkat, dan terbatasnya sarana yang akan digunakan. Upaya yang dilakukan adalah controlling terhadap kinerja crew dan mengatur gizi yang seimbang, menambah/menggunakan sarana pompa portabel wilden pump, dan mengoptimalkan proses sweeping and collecting cargo residu. Suwiyadi, M.Pd., M.Mar, Supervisor II: Sri Purwantini, SE, S.Pd., MM. The preparation of cargo hold is carried out at the port that strategic plan which is appropriate, effective, efficient, and well coordinated in order to work performance, because the cargo hold preparation takes an important factor in the process of cargoes loading on the vessel. The aim of the research is to known the implementation of cargo hold cleaning for different cargoes in the same port, identify about the constraints, and analyze the efforts to overcome the constraints. The research method is descriptive qualitative, this methode is used to evaluate and describe the object being discussed. Data collection methods used were interviews with senior officers on board, observation as participant, documentation and literature study. The results of the research show that the implementation of cargo hold cleaning is tool box meeting, tools preparation, action/execution, the last one evaluation. The constraints in implementation of cargo hold cleaning are the condition of crews are fatigue, the available time is too short, and limited facilities shall be used. The efforts made are controlling against performance of the crew and controlling the balanced of crew’s nutrition, add a wilden pump as portable pump facility, and the last one optimizing the process of sweeping and collecting cargo residues.
