Abstract
ABSTRAKSI Putra, Chandra Kharisma. 52155556 N. 2020. “Optimalisasi Perawatan Lifeboat dalam Menanggulangi Kegagalan Launching di MT. Serui”. Skripsi. Program Diploma IV, Program Studi Nautika, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Dosen Pembimbing Materi (I): Capt. Agus Hadi Purwantomo, SP.1, M. Mar., Dosen Pembimbing Metode Penulisan (II): Capt. Akhmad Ndori, S.ST, M.M, M.Mar. Sesuai peraturan SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) consolidated edition 2014 lifeboat harus selalu dalam kondisi baik dan siap digunakan selama pelayaran. ABSTRACT Putra, Chandra Kharisma. 52155556 N. 2020. “Maintenance Optimization of Lifeboat in Overcoming the Failure of Launching in MT. Serui”. Thesis. Diploma IV Program, Nautical Study Program, Polytechnic of Merchant Marine Semarang, Advisor of Material (I): Capt. Agus Hadi Purwantomo, SP.1, M. Mar., Advisor of Writing Method (II): Capt. Akhmad Ndori, S.ST, MM, M.Mar. Lifeboat is one of the important live saving appliances on board and is used during distress to abandon ship. As per the SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) consolidated edition 2014 lifeboat must be in good condition and ready for use during voyage. However, problems arise in terms of launching lifeboat due to damage to the components of the supporting equipment for launching lifeboat, lack of skills and knowledge of the crew and the impact of failure when launching the lifeboat. Furthermore, efforts are made to overcome these problems by optimizing routine maintenance in accordance with SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) consolidated edition 2014 procedures and holding familiarization or safety meetings for ship crews. Researchers using qualitative descriptive method approach in completing this study, where this method is used to describe or analyze the results of research on the optimization of treatment lifeboat in tackling the failure of launching the lifeboat on the ship. Implement and optimize lifeboat maintenance according to the Plan Management System procedures properly and hold familiarization or safety meeting is an effort used to overcome the failure of launching lifeboat on board.
