Abstract

ABSTRAKSI SIHONO, NIT: 51145198.N, 2019, “Analisa Terhambatnya Proses Bongkar Muatan Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Jenis Methane Di SS. TANGGUH BATUR”, skripsi Program Studi Nautika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Capt. Moh. Aziz Rohman, M.M., M.Mar, Pembimbing II: Henny Wahyu W., M.Pd Muatan gas alam cair (LNG) atau Methane CH4 sebagai muatan yang mempunyai karakteristik khusus karena sifatnya yang sangat mudah terbakar. Penanganan muatan inipun sangat berbeda dengan muatan yang lain karena harus disimpan pada suhu yang sangat dekat dengan titik didihnya yang mana sekitar 160oC. Dalam proses penanganan muatan jenis ini di perlukan perhatian yang lebih karena sifat muatan yang berbahaya. Penulis akan membahas tentang hambatan yang terjadi pada saat proses bongkar muatan berjenis CH4. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis di dalam menyampaikan masalah adalah fishbone analysis untuk manentukan masalah dari setiap faktor dan teknik analisis data dan USG (Urgency, Seriousness, Growtth) untuk menentukan masalah yang menjadi prioritas utama. Dalam hal ini Teknik pengumpulan data berupa pendekatan terhadap obyek melalalui observasi, wawancara secara langsung terhadap subyek serta menggunakan dokumen dan data-data yang berhubungan dengan proses bongkar muatan LNG. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan penulis selama praktek layar di SS. TANGGUH BATUR mengenai proses bongkar muatan gas alam cair (LNG) jenis methane ditemukan adanya masalah-masalah dalam kegiatan pembongkaran LNG yaitu terdapat perwira jaga yang belum mengerti akan persiapan-persiapan pendinginan tangki-tangki muatan, dan minimnya pengalaman personil kapal ketika dipekerjakan di kapal LNG jenis membrane. Hambatan-hambatan selama proses bongkar muatan LNG adalah kerusakan pompa, HD Compressor, kerusakan alat komunikasi, kurang terampilnya perwira dalam mengoperasikan CCR, dan kesalahpahaman dalam berkomunikasi. Dalam hal ini disimpulkan bahwa kurangnya pengalaman personil kapal di kapal LNG jenis membrane akan mengakibatkan pelaksanaan bongkar muatan LNG tidak berjalan secara efektif dan efisien, adapun saran penulis adalah diadakan pengarahan dengan harapan agar para crew lebih paham akan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya, merawat alat-alat bongkar muatan seperti pompa muatan, HD Compressor serta alat komunikasi yang sebaiknya dilakukan secara rutin, memberikan pelatihan terhadap semua perwira di atas kapal. Aziz Rohman, M.M., M.Mar, Supervisor II: Henny Wahyu W., M.Pd Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cargo or Methane CH4 as a cargo has special characteristics because of the nature so easy to burned. This cargo handling very different from another type of cargo because it must be stored at temperature which is very close to the boiling point which is around -160oC. On the cargo handling process at this type need more attention because characteristic of the cargo is dangerous. The writer will discuss about obstruction which is happen during discharging CH4 cargo type process. The research method used by the writer inn conveying the problem is fishbone analysis to determine the problem of each factor and the USG (Urgency, Seriousness, Growth) data analysis technique to determine the main priority problem. In this case the technique of data collection is in the form of approaching objects through observation, interviews directly with the subject and using document and data relating to the discharging process on LNG vessels membrane type. Regarding of research result which is do by the writer since sea project on SS. TANGGUH BATUR regarding the process of discharging methane Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) found problem in LNG demolition activities, namely there are guard officers who do not understand the preparation for cooling cargo thanks, and lack of experience of ship personnel when employed in LNG vessels membrane type. Obstacles during the LNG discharging process are pump damage, HD compressor, damage to communication equipment, lack of skilled officers in operating CCR and misunderstanding in communication. The discussion of the result of this research is that crew who are on duty are expected to know the correct handling procedure for LNG loads by studying the cargo handling manual on board. In this case, it is concluded the lack of experience of vessel personnel in membrane LNG vessels will result in LNG discharging effective and efficient, as the author’s suggestion, a briefing was held in the hope that the crew would better understand their duties and responsibilities, maintain unloading equipment such as loading pump, HD compressor and communication tools that should be routinely carried out, provide training for all officers on board.
