Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Ilham Zulmi Al Bayhaqi, 2019, NIT 52155562N, “Upaya Pengoptimalan Penempatan Muatan Kontainer di MV. Oriental Gold Agar Dapat Mencapai Keadaan Full and Down”. Skripsi Program Studi Nautika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Capt. H. Agus Hadi Purwantomo, S.P1.,M.Mar. dan Pembimbing II: Poernomo Dwi Atmojo, M.H. Karena bentuk dan jenis kontainer tertentu sering muatan tidak dapat memenuhi ruang muat, kemungkinan lain adalah cara pemadatan yang kurang baik, sehingga banyak ruang muat yang tidak terisi muatan. Rumusan masalah penelitian adalah 1) Mengapa penempatan muatan kontainer diatas kapal perlu dioptimalkan?, 2) Faktor-faktor apakah yang dapat mempengaruhi sehingga kapal tidak dapat mencapai full and down ?, 3) Bagaimana cara penataan kontainer diatas kapal agar bisa mencapai full and down?. pengoptimalan dalam penempatan muatan, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi, serta cara penataan kontainer. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) Masih terdapat ruang muat kosong dikapal dengan membuat bayplan agar kapal dapat mencapai full and down, 2) Pengawasan terhadap buruh pelabuhan dan memperhatikan ukuran kontainer dalam proses penempatan agar kapal dapat mencapai full and down. 3) Penerapan prinsip-prinsip pemuatan sperti melindungi kapal, melindungi muatan dan memisahkan muatan, serta pemuatan secara cepat dan sistematis. Dalam penataan kontainer memperhatikan jenis dan ukuran kontainer yang akan dimuat sehingga dapat meminimalisir broken stowage. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Dengan melakukan penempatan muatan di ruang muat yang belum terisi penuh supaya tercapai kondisi kapal full and down. 2) faktor kurangnya ketrampilan buruh dalam menata muatan kontainer dalam proses pemuatan serta kurangnya pengawasan oleh mualim jaga dalam mengawasi proses pemuatan. 3) menerapkan prinsip-prnsip pemuatan pengoptimalisai penggunaan ruang muat, dan melakukan penataan secara cepat dan sistematis. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Sebaiknya Mualim I melakukan penataan pada ruang muat kapal yang masih kosong agar kapal dapat mencapai full and down. 2) Sebaiknya pihak perusahaan dan pihak kapal bekerja sama dalam melakukan pengawasan terhadap proses pemuatan yang dilakukan oleh buruh pelabuhan agar penempatan muatan dapat sesuai dengan bayplan. 3) Sebaiknya Mualim I dan Foreman dalam penataan kontainer diatas kapal dapat menerapkan prinsip-prinsip pemuatan sehingga pemuatan dapat berjalan cepat dan sistematis ABSTRACT Ilham Zulmi Al Bayhaqi, 2019, NIT 52155562N, “Efforts to Optimize Cargo Container in MV. Because certain forms and types of containers often load can not meet the carg space, another possibility is poor compaction, so that many cargo spaces are not loaded. The formulation of the research problem is 1) Why is the placement of container loads on the ship need to be optimized? 2) What factors can affect the ship so that it cannot reach full and down? 3) How to arrange containers on the boat to reach full and down? . optimization of cargo placement, influencing factors, and container arrangement methods. The research method is qualitative descriptive. Data collection by observation, interview and documentation. The results of the study are 1) There is still an empty cargo room in the ship making bayplan so that the ship can reach full and down, 2) Supervision of port workers and paying attention to the size of the container in the placement process so that the ship can reach full and down. 3) Application of principles of loading such as protecting ships, protecting cargo and separating cargo, and loading quickly and systematically. In container arrangement, pay attention to the type and size of containers to be loaded so that it can minimize broken stowage. The conclusion of this study is 1) By placing the cargo in the loading room that has not been fully loaded so that the full and down ship conditions are achieved. 2) factors in the lack of skills of workers in arranging container cargo in the loading process and lack of supervision by guardians in monitoring the loading process. 3) apply the principles of loading the optimizer for the use of the cargo space, and make arrangements quickly and systematically. Suggestions from this study are 1) It is recommended that the First Deck Officer make arrangements on the ship's cargo space that is still empty so that the ship can reach full and down. 2) It is recommended that the company and the ship work together in supervising the loading process carried out by port workers so that cargo placement can be in accordance with Bayplan. 3) Mualim I and Foreman should be able to apply loading principles so that loading can run quickly and systematically in the arrangement of containers on board.
