Abstract

ABSTRAK Novandra Triandy Dharma Yudha, 2019, NIT: 51145291.N, “Upaya pencegahan terjadinya venting di kapal LNG/C Tangguh Towuti pada saat loading di pelabuhan Bintuni”, skripsi Program Studi Nautika, Program Diploma IV Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I : Dr. Capt. Mashudi Rofik, M.Sc, M.Mar, Pembimbing II : Dr. Winarno, S.ST., M.H. Latar belakang peneliti melakukan penelitian terhadap “Upaya pencegahan terjadinya venting di Kapal LNG/C Tangguh Towuti pada saat loading di pelabuhan Bintuni” adalah karena sedikitnya pelaut yang mengetahui tentang prosedur yang benar saat proses muatan di kapal LNG, guna menghindari bahaya venting. Dengan rumusan masalah 1.) Faktor-faktor apa sajakah yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya vening? 2.) Bagaimana upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya venting? Penelitian skripsi ini didasarkan pada pelaksanaan Loading Operations, pentingnya pengecekan alat dalam persiapannya untuk menghindari kejadiankejadian yang dapat menghambat pelaksanaan operasi, dan familiariasi kepada awak kapal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian skripsi ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dangan metode analisa Fishbone dan Fault Tree Analysis. Sumber data dari penelitian ini berasal dari hasil observasi dan Record Operation selama peneliti melaksanakan Loading Operations pada saat praktek laut di kapal LNG/C Tangguh Towuti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1.) Faktor-faktor yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya venting yaitu:. Machine, Method, dan Manpower 2.) Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi faktor penyebab venting. Saran peneliti untuk pelaksanaan Loading Operation harus berpatokan pada Ship's Cargo Handling Manual, IGC Code, dan SIGTTO agar tercipta operasi yang aman serta terhindar dari kejadian-kejadian yang dapat membahayakan kapal beserta isinya. Mashudi Rofik, M.Sc, M.Mar, Supervisor II : Dr. Winarno, S.ST., M.H. The author’s background to choose “Effort to prevent venting in LNG/C Tangguh Towuti vessel when loading in Bintuni ports” as the topic of research, is due to the low understanding of seafarer in terms of how to deal with loading operation with accordance the international regulations. The structure of the problems are 1.) what are the factor which can cause venting when loading? 2.) How effort are made to prevent venting? This thesis research is based on the understanding of Loading Operations, the importance of machinery and equipment checking in preparation process to avoid events that could threat the safety of the ship and its contents, and the importance of familiarization to the crews. The research method that is use in writing this minithesis is descriptive qualitative method, with analysis method using Fishbone and Fault Tree Analysis. Sources of data from this study are from observations and record of operation during the author’s experience joining Loading Operations while onboard vessel LNG/C Tangguh Towuti. The results shows that: 1.) There are some factors which cause venting during Loading Operation in LNG/C Tangguh Towuti as follows: Machine, Method, and Manpower. 2.) The effort that can be made to prevent the factor which cause venting. The researcher suggestion for the Loading operation is that it must be carried out in accordance with Ship’s Cargo Handling Manual, IGC Code, and SIGTTO to create a safe entry tank, with safe operation, and avoid events that may endanger the ship and its contents.
