Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Maulana Malik Ibrahim, 51145289.N, 2019, “Optimalisasi Pencegahan Kerusakan Muatan Reefer di Kapal Container MV. Sungai Mas”, Progam Studi Nautika, Program Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Capt. H. Agus Subardi M.Mar., Pembimbing II: Andy Wahyu Hermanto, MT MV. Sungai Mas adalah kapal jenis container milik perusahaan PT. Pelayaran Tempuran Emas. Pengiriman barang melalui laut khususnya container akhir-akhir ini semakin meningkat tajam, perkembangannya tidak pada jumlah melainkan juga pada jenis-jenis barang yang semakin bervariasi. Tujuan penelitian dalam rumusan masalah “Optimalisasi Pencegahan Kerusakan Muatan Reefer Di Kapal Container MV. SUNGAI MAS”, adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui cara penanganan reefer container agar tidak terjadi kerusakan muatan, dan 2) Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab timbulnya kerusakan muatan pada reefer container. Penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode diskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan observasi, interview dan dokumentasi yang berhubungan dengan reefer container. Hasil penelitian dari data yang ada serta wawancara yang dilakukan diatas kapal didapatkan bahwa faktor yang menyebabkan kerusakan reefer container antara lain faktor dari dalam dan faktor dari luar. Faktor dari dalam adalah pada mesin reefer, penanganan reefer container tadak sesuai prosedur sedangkan faktor dari luar adalah pengaruh cuca buruk dan SDM crew kapal. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya-upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan muatan pada reefer container antara lain dengan melaksanakan penanganan reefer container sesuai dengan prosedur. Melakukan pendekatan dan pengetahuan lebih dalam prosedur penanganan reefer container yang benar. Maka penulis memberi saran sebaiknya seorang kadet, tidak diberikan tanggung jawab terhadap pengawasan muatan reefer, karena taruna tersebut dalam belajar (belum dapat diberikan tanggung jawab). Delivery of goods by sea, especially containers lately has increased sharply, the development is not in the number but also in the types of goods that are increasingly varied.The purpose of the research is in the formulation of the problem "Optimizing Prevention of Reefer Load Damage in Container Vessels MV. Sungai Mas", are: 1) To find out how to handle the reefer container to prevent load damage, and 2) To find out the factors that cause load damage to the reefer container. In this study the authors used the qualitative descriptive method with the approach of observation, interview and documentation relating to reefer containers. The results of the existing data as well as interviews conducted on board found that the factors that caused damage to the reefer container include internal factors and external factors. The internal factor is the reefer machine, the reefer handling of container tadak is according to the procedure while the external factor is the influence of bad cuca and HR of the crew of the ship. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the efforts that can be done to prevent the occurrence of load damage on the reefer container, among others, by carrying out the handling of reefer containers in accordance with the procedure. Approach and deeper knowledge of the correct procedure for handling container transfers. So the writer gives a suggestion that a cadet should be given no responsibility for monitoring reefer loads, because the cadet is in learning (not yet able to be given responsibility).
