Abstract

ABSTRAKSI Billy Wiramartasa, NIT : 51145142 N, 2019 “ Analisis Penyebab Kandasnya MV. Maximus 999 Di Alur Pelayaran Sungai Musi“, Program Diploma IV, Nautika, Politeknik Imu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Dr. Capt. Mashudi Rofik M.Sc, M.Mar dan Pembimbing II: Okvita Wahyuni, S.ST, M.M Sering terjadinya kandasnya kapal dialur Sungai Musi Palembang yang menyebabkan banyak kerugian yang dialami bagi perusahaan pelayaran, maka tujuan penulisan skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kandasnya kapal MV. Maximus 999 dialur Sungai Musi dan langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan untuk membebaskan kapal dari kandas serta upaya yang dilakukan agar kandas tidak terulang lagi Kandasnya kapal dibagi atas dua kejadian yaitu beached (kapal yang sengaja dikandaskan karena beberapa hal untuk menyelamatkan kapal, awak kapal,dan muatannya) dan stranded (kapal yang kandas tidak disengaja karena kelalaian manusianya). Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengunakan metode deskriptif dan metode kualitatif dimana data yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, observasi dan dokumen-dokumen yang ada diatas kapal. Kesalahan prosedur, kemudi macet, melanggar peraturan dan keadaan alur serta arus dan angin yang sangat kencang adalah penyebab kandasnya kapal MV. Maximus 999 dialur Sungai Musi dan untuk membebaskan kapal dari kandas yaitu dengan cara chek kandas menggunakan alat sounding, menunggu air pasang tertinggi untuk berolah gerak dan apabila tidak berhasil dengan cara membongkar muatan dan ditarik dengan tug boat. Agar hal itu tidak terulang lagi maka nakhoda berupaya agar semua alat yang berhubungan dengan navigasi dapat berfungsi dengan baik dan lengkap, kapal tidak mengalami over draft serta faktor arus dan angin harus diperhatikan ABSTRACT Billy Wiramartasa, NIT: 51145142 N, 2019 "Analysis of the cause of the MV. Mashudi Rofik M.Sc, M.Mar and 2nd Supervision: Okvita Wahyuni, S.ST, M.M Often the occurrence of shipwrecks in the Musi River channel which causes a lot of losses experienced by shipping companies, so the purpose of writing this thesis is to find out the factors that caused the MV. Maximus 999 is channeled by the Musi River and steps must be taken to free the ship from running aground and efforts made to run aground are not repeated The weight of the ship is divided into two events, namely beached (ship intentionally grounded for several reasons to save the ship, crew, and cargo) and stranded (the ship which failed accidentally due to human negligence). In this study the authors used descriptive methods and qualitative methods where data obtained from interviews, observations and documents on board. Procedure errors, traffic jams, breaking regulations and grooves and currents and very strong winds were the cause of the MV. Maximus 999 is channeled by the Musi River and to free the ship from running aground by checking it stranded using a sounding tool, waiting for the highest tide to work on the motion and if it doesn't work by unloading the cargo and pulled by tug boat. In order for this to not happen again, the captain tries to make all the tools related to navigation work properly and completely, the ship does not experience over draft and current and wind factors must be considered
